What Are the Advantages of Ferrite?

Ferrite is one of the more common magnetic materials in our daily lives. I think many friends, like me, first got to know this kind of common magnet - ferrite when they initially learned about magnets.

Ferrite is widely used and the quantity used is very large. Why do people like to use ferrite magnets? Because they don't rust, don't oxidize, aren't corrosive, and are relatively environmentally - friendly.

Why don't ferrite magnets rust?

The chemical name of ferrite magnets is ferro - ferric oxide and the main component is Fe₃O₄. It's still an oxide of iron, so it's very difficult for it to be oxidized again. As for other magnets (the main element is iron), they are made by magnetizing metallic iron or other substances. Like other iron and steel, they can be oxidized and rust, and the magnetic property of the oxidized part will disappear.

There are several other advantages of choosing ferrite magnets:

Low cost. The cost of raw materials is very cheap.

Good temperature stability. It can be used at temperatures between - 40 degrees Celsius and + 350 degrees Celsius.

As just mentioned, it doesn't rust.
