Why don't ferrite magnets rust?
The chemical name of the ferrite magnet is iron tetroxide, and its main component is Fe₃O₄. Since it is already an oxide of iron, it is very difficult for it to be oxidized further. Other magnets (the main component of which is iron) are made by magnetizing metallic iron or other elements. Like other iron and steel, they can be oxidized and rust, and the magnetic property of the oxidized part will disappear.
There are several other advantages of choosing ferrite magnets:
1.Low cost and price. The cost of raw materials is very cheap.
3.As just mentioned, it does not rust.
